One of the largest First Nations in Saskatchewan is holding its chief and council elections today.

Three men are running for chief of the Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation, including incumbent Darrell McCallum.

McCallum is being challenged by former chief Harold Linklater and Randy Clarke.

Dozens of others are running for the 12 available positions on council.

Voting is taking place in seven communities, including Prince Albert.

Under its current election act, the PBCN holds a band election every two years.
