The inquest into the death of a Saskatchewan man shot by Mounties last November has been delayed because the family did not like the place where it was to be held.

It was to begin next month at a bingo hall on the Muskowekwan First Nation, but the family argued the location was disrespectful since they live in Regina.

44-year-old Delbert Kenneth Pelletier was killed after an eight-hour standoff with police on the Muskowekwan reserve.

Other locations are being considered in the area of the First Nation.
