Pelican Narrows Woman Facing Murder Charge

A 27-year-old woman from Pelican Narrows is in police custody after being accused of killing her common-law partner.

Geraldine Bloomfield faces a charge of second degree murder in connection to the death of 32-year-old Cameron Ballantyne.

The RCMP says the victim received stab wounds at a Pelican Narrows residence at about 1:30 yesterday morning.

Ballantyne eventually succumbed to his injuries after receiving medical treatment.

Bloomfield is scheduled to appear in court tomorrow in Pelican Narrows.
