Pelican Narrows Homicide Investigation Underway

A homicide investigation is underway in the northern community of Pelican Narrows, after the body of a 22 year old woman was found in a residence early yesterday afternoon.
RCMP spokesman Cpl. Brian Jones says officers are continuing to investigate the discovery, adding foul play is suspected in her death.
Jones says a 32-year-old man from the community turned himself into police this morning in connection with the incident, but charges have not been laid.
An autopsy has been ordered. The victim’s name will not be released pending charges and notification of next of kin.
