The RCMP are currently investigating a collision in La Ronge that sent a pedestrian to hospital over the weekend.

RCMP spokesman Sgt. Brad Kaeding says it appears the pedestrian was hit by a car while walking along Highway 2 between La Ronge and Air Ronge Saturday night.

The victim was taken to hospital in Saskatoon in serious condition.

Kaeding says the car was being driven by a 16-year-old girl, who has since been charged with driving without a licence.

The Mounties have not released the identity, age or gender of the victim.

There is also no word on the victim’s current condition.
