The La Ronge RCMP says it has apprehended a man who was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for breach of his parole.

The Mounties say 38-year-old Leonard Thomas Ross was taken into custody without incident yesterday at a residence on a reserve in La Ronge.

Police were led to the residence through an anonymous tip received at Saskatchewan Crimestoppers.

Ross had been eluding police for almost 5 months.

Ross has been returned to Prince Albert to begin serving the rest of his sentence at the Saskatchewan Penitentiary.
