Health workers in the North want to make sure they know how to properly immunize people if there’s a pandemic.

For that reason, the Northern Inter-Tribal Health Authority is conducting a pilot immunization program November 13th and 14th in Hatchet Lake.

Hatchet Lake First Nation Health Director Mary Denechezhe says the whole community will be immunized.

The vaccine will be administered in a quartantine-like environment, with health staff wearing hospital gowns and masks.

The pilot project will be evaluated to see how workers can improve their immunization program.
