PAGC Vice-Chief Back In By Acclamation

Prince Albert Grand Council vice-chief Don Deranger has been re-elected by acclamation.

Deranger was the only person to submit a declaration of intent to run for the position of vice-chief for the Athabasca region.

This effectively eliminates the need for the the election that had been scheduled for Oct. 27.

Deranger will not be required to take a leave of absence for the 30-day period that usually leads up to the election.

He has served six years in office.
