The family violence coordinator for the Prince Albert Grand Council hopes a walk next week in memory of women lost to violence will help change some attitudes.

Corinne Fiddler says a march will be held on June 10th and cover four kilometres in recognition of four Aboriginal women who died in Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

The walk will begin at city hall and end up at the offices of the PAGC.

Fiddler says many of the women who helped organize it were simply tired of seeing women disappear who were poor and visibly Aboriginal.

The PAGC Women’s Commission is the group hosting the event.

They are calling for anyone who knows of women who are missing to bring a photograph of them to the event.
