Only two candidates will be on the ballot in next month’s Prince Albert Grand Council grand chief election.

Incumbent Ron Michel is up against challenger Roy Bird in the October 21st vote in Prince Albert.

Michel has served as the PAGC’s grand chief for the last three years.

Bird is a former regional director with Indian Affairs.

The voting will be conducted by just over 200 voting delegates representing the PAGC’s 12 member First Nations.

Bands are assigned a number of delegates based on their population.
