The Chief of the Prince Albert Grand Council says he will take the next month and a half to decide his future.

Yesterday, Gary Merasty announced he will not be seeking re-election this fall.

Merasty says he feels good about the state of the PAGC right now, and is looking for a change.

He is also not ruling out a run at federal politics.

Merasty says advancements in education development and broadband internet in the north are just a few of the accomplishments he’s proud of.

A new Chief will be elected on October 18th. Merasty will serve on until then.
