PAGC Chief Anxious To Talk With Premiers

The chief of the Prince Albert Grand Council is preparing to welcome leaders at this week’s Western Premiers’ Roundtable in Prince Albert.

Ron Michel and his two vice-chiefs will make presentations and discuss some of the developments taking place in the north.

As well, Michel says he intends to inform the leaders that while economic riches are harvested from northern Saskatchewan, many bands still remain mired in social depression.

However, he says the meeting is still a positive event, and he looks forward to talking with all the assembled politicians.

Michel says the duty to consult issue is also expected to take up much of the discussion.
