A business leader in Prince Albert is promoting better relations with First Nations.

Prince Albert Chamber of Commerce chairman Wayne Roznowsky says both the city and the province stand to lose out if they do not encourage the success of Aboriginal-owned businesses and companies.

Roznowsky says Saskatchewan is not a big enough market to sustain itself without the help and contributions of First Nations and Metis entrepreneurs.

Roznowsky says this is especially true when one considers that wealth is created primarily through business rather than government.

The chamber recently brought in Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations chief Alphonse Bird to talk to them about First Nations’ business needs, and Roznowsky says that educational approach will continue in the months to come.
