Overdue Boater on Lac La Ronge Found Safe & Sound

There was a happy ending this morning to the search for a missing boater on Lac La Ronge.

Robbie McKenzie had been reported missing yesterday after another boat he had been travelling with lost sight of him near the Storm Channel on the way back from Hunter Bay.

RCMP spokesman Sergeant Ron Link says McKenzie got caught in inclement weather and was forced to find shelter on land.

The RCMP says McKenzie was spotted this morning by search crew member Gord Carl.

Link says McKenzie is in excellent condition and is home safe and sound.

The RCMP says the help provided by all the volunteers was excellent and would like to thank them for their efforts.
