The provincial government is providing a total of over $1 million to five schools in northern Saskatchewan.

The bulk of the money will go towards mechanical upgrades at Twin Lakes Community School in Buffalo Narrows.

That school is getting $442,000 for the repairs.

Another $255,000 is being set aside for roofing upgrades for the Ducharme Building of La Loche Community School.

Schools in Pinehouse and Beavual will also receive money for their roofs.

In addition, the government is providing over $100,000 to the Ile-a-la-Crosse School Division for construction of a new teacher’s home and building upgrades to Rossignol Elementary School.
