Northern outfitters are likely hoping for another blast of cold winter air says an official with the industry.
Hal Stupenikoff of the Saskatchewan Outfitters Association says thin ice has kept many operators from hauling fuel and other supplies into their camps.
He says the season is already proving to be tough because of the soaring Canadian dollar.
He adds new ideas may have to be tossed out to entice American hunters and anglers to travel North of the border.
