Two members of the Regina Symphony Orchestra are touring north-central Saskatchewan this week.

Their presentations, which are part of a Music Ambassador Program, include performances, teacher clinics and student involvement activities.

RSO Principal Timpani Lisa Simmermon and her husband, RSO Principal Second Violin Brian Johnson, are featuring music from Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons” concertos for violin and orchestra.

Students from Bell’s Point Elementary School, Gordon Denny Community School, and Senator Myles Venne School in La Ronge were exposed to the presentation this morning.

The two-person ensemble is visiting Chief Moses Ratt School in Sucker River this afternoon and Little Red River School near Christopher Lake tomorrow.

Simmermon and Johnson plan to visit schools in Prince Albert and Saskatoon later in the week.
