Oilsands Quest Approved For More Exploratory Work

An Alberta-based energy company says it plans to ramp up exploration in Saskatchewan’s northwest.

Oilsands Quest recently received approval to drill 70 exploratory holes at its Axe Lake discovery area.

The site is located north of the Clearwater River Dene Nation’s La Loche-based reserve.

The company has also received clearance to drill 27 more holes along its main access road.

The holes are aimed at giving the company a better sense of the oil resevoir in the region.
