Noteworthy Northern Youth Presented With Awards

Eleven young people received Northern Youth Awards of Excellence in Prince Albert yesterday.

 

The youth were honoured during a ceremony at the Northern Justice Symposium.

 

The awards were designed to honour northern youth between the ages of 12 and 25 for academic, athletic and personal achievements, among other things.

 

Some of the youth were also honoured for showing leadership, advancing their careers, and volunteering their time.

 

Others received recognition for their successes in the fields of culture and heritage or arts and entertainment.

 

The winners include Joanne Natomagan and Joshua McCallum of Pinehouse, Joseph Jackson and Janelle Watt of La Ronge, Sandy Bay’s Wesley Morin, Terrence Bouvier of Jans Bay, Teddy Pederson and Marlee Durocher of Buffalo Narrows and Dakota Caisse, Sasha Yole and Tanny Yole of Ile-a-la-Crosse.
