Norwalk Virus Expands To Shellbrook

Patients in the Shellbrook area are being sent to Prince Albert after a recent outbreak of Norwalk Virus was detected in the hospital facility.

Late Thursday afternoon, it was learned some patients have come down with the illness and are being quarantined.

Officials say there are no signs that staff members have been infected.

Norwalk virus has ripped through the Prince Albert region as of late, shutting down hospital floors and senior citizen’s residences.
