Northern Voters Improve On Advance Poll Showing

Unlike most of the country, advance poll numbers for the Desnethe-Missinippi-Churchill River riding are up over the previous general election.

According to Elections Canada, 1,138 people in northern Saskatchewan have already cast their ballot for next week’s federal election.

In contrast, only 1,068 people voted in advance polls back in 2006.

Meanwhile, just 847 people took advantage of advance polls during the by-election held in March.
