For the first time ever, three northern high school students are spending part of their summer in Saskatoon helping with a science camp.

Iris McKenzie, Rayne Bo Favel, and Madelaine Lazurko are taking part in the SCI-FI Science Camps’ Counselor-in-Training program at the University of Saskatchewan.

McKenzie and Favel are from Cumberland House, while Lazurko is from La Ronge.

Coordinator Sally Meadows says these girls will learn about university from students attending as camp counsellors, as well as mentor the young camp attendees.

The camp runs until this Friday.
