The provincial government has announced it has committed $488,000 to help pay for roofing upgrades for two northern Saskatchewan schools.

The provincial funding is going to Charlebois Community School in Cumberland House and Hector Thiboutot Community School in Sandy Bay.

The work will be cost-shared with the local school divisions.

The improvement projects are part of a $6-million government investment to improve the learning environment in 40 Saskatchewan schools.
