A Government MLA says he hopes to hear from as many northerners as possible about the issue of the Northern Overtime Exemption.

Ron Harper says public meetings over the issue will begin in August, with him and his staff confronting northern residents in person.

The touchy subject of the exemption was recently broached by Saskatchewan Premier Lorne Calvert, who appointed Harper to review the subject.

Harper says a toll-free number and website has been created so northerners can give him their true feelings on the issue.

Harper says he talked about the issue with some northerners at a meeting on July 11th; however the main meetings are next month.

The toll-free number to call with feedback is 1-866-225-2835.
