A northern Saskatchewan leader says yesteday’s announcement by Premier Brad Wall that infrastructure money is being handed out faster is a good start.

Ile-a-la-Crosse Mayor Duane Favel says $100 million for municipal infrastructure is good, but calls it inadequate because he says that won’t go far for an entire province.

Favel says if the application form is indeed only one page long as the premier has promised, his community will apply for infrastructure money.

He says he would like to see money for a new arena or youth facility in Ile-a-la-Crosse.
