An Athabasca business official says he’s confident the province’s north is being well-represented on Enterprise Saskatchewan.

It’s been less than a year since the Brad Wall government announced the creation of the agency, which now serves as the province’s primary economic development arm.

Glen Strong is the co-chair of The Northern Labour Market Committee, which is holding its annual meeting in Prince Albert this week.

Strong says he’s satisfied officials on the board will listen to the North’s concerns with former Desnethe-Missinippi-Churchill River MP Gary Merasty involved.

First Nations and Metis Relations Minister June Draude has stated she also will work to represent the north at the board level.
