The Provincial Government is giving $50,000 to the Mamawetan Churchill River Regional Health Authority.

The money is designed to bolster current home-care services, while creating a new unit for patients needing mental health-care as well.

John Crizer is the Mental Health-Services Coordinator for Mamawetan. He feels a lot of good will come from treating patients before they need hospital care.

He adds stable family situations are the best remedy for mental health, no matter where you go.
