Northern CBC Personality Bemoans Lockout

After a month, CBC workers are still locked out and have no idea as to when they will return to work.

La Ronge CBC announcer Tom Roberts says negotiations are underway but the issue of contracting out remains unresolved as the dispute heads into its fifth week.

Roberts adds news stories are coming up daily all over the North and CBC should be covering them, but he doesn’t see the lockout ending anytime soon.

Roberts says the CBC workers and managers need to come to an understanding before progress can be made.

An information picket will be staged by CBC workers next Thursday at the CBC office on La Ronge Avenue.
