Norman Free On Bail

A Prince Albert judge has ordered that a 19-year-old suspect in a fatal apartment fire in La Ronge should be released from custody on an undertaking.

Justice R.C. Mills released his decision this morning.

Blake David Norman had appealed a lower court ruling in La Ronge issued last month that denied him bail.

Norman is facing three counts of manslaughter and one count of arson in that case, as well as several unrelated charges.

He was charged after a La Ronge couple and their infant son were killed in a fire at the Lakeview Apartments in May.

Norman’s next court appearance in La Ronge is set for August 17.
