A new partnership between the province and provincial wildlife federation is designed to further enhance the sport fisheries.

Provincial Habitat Protection Manager with Saskatchewan Environment, Conrad Olson says the new 2-year agreement is supported from the Provincial Fish and Wildlife Development Fund.

Olson says the $150 000-a-year contribution will help cover the costs of the delivery of a number of wildlife projects over a two year period.

He says there are a variety of projects including fish passages and spawning.

Olson says all projects will have to meet certain criteria including consultations with surrounding communities and First Nations.
