Sturgeon Lake storyteller Joseph Naytowhow is coming to the North Battleford Public Library this Sunday.

He will be helping to help kick off Saskatchewan Aboriginal Storytelling Month.

Children’s library technician Linda Peterson is pleased that Naytowhow is coming, after being unavailable for the North Battleford festivities in previous years.

The kickoff is being held at the same time as the library’s fourth annual Aboriginal Storytelling Festival.

In addition to storytelling, events include traditional Aboriginal games, dancers, drummers, and sleigh rides.

Doors open at 1:15 p.m. and events will continue all afternoon until about 5:00 p.m.
