A new collection of First Nations and Metis paintings is on display in downtown Prince Albert.

The show, entitled “This is Indian Town” is being held at the Little Art Gallery and wraps up on October 26th.

Curator Michel Boutin says that while none of the works are strictly traditional, many of them touch on serious themes within the Aboriginal community — including memories of the residential schools.

An opening reception for the show is taking place tonight.

It begins at 7:00 and Boutin says everyone is welcome.
