National Summit Examines Treaty Implementation

How treaties should be implemented is the topic of discussion at a national gathering in Fort Qu’Appelle this week.

The Treaty Four Governance Centre is host to the National Treaty Implementation Conference.

Yesterday, elders and youth held a joint session to discuss the theme of developing a common vision of treaty implementation.

Today, chiefs are continuing that discussion with a National Council of Treaty Chiefs roundtable, where chiefs from different regions will give their perspectives on how treaties should be implemented.

The conference continues through Wednesday.
