A manager with the Prince Albert National Park confirms there are problems associated with deer baiting near its boundaries.

Murray Peterson says the practice changes the regular movements of animals, some of whom reside within the park.

He says the park has raised the issue with Saskatchewan Environment and continues to monitor the effects the practice has on wildlife.

However, he notes deer baiting is perfectly legal and there’s not much they can do about it.
