A member of the Muskoday First Nation continues to make strides in his recovery from a liver transplant performed several weeks ago in Alberta.

Vernon Knight is currently undergoing anti-rejection drug treatment at the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert.

It was back on April 14th that he received a new liver from a donor in Edmonton.

The 10-hour procedure went well, and Knight is now on the rebound.

He says his appetite is coming back and he hopes to resume work this fall.

He encourages others who need transplants not to give up hope.

The accomplished musician is grateful to his partner and family for their assistance, and to the band for its support.
