Austin Bear has been re-elected as the chief of the Muskoday First Nation in a landslide.

Bear captured almost 70 per cent of the total votes cast in yesterday’s election, beating out three challengers for his job.

Bear will serve his next term in office with pretty much the same band council he’s had the last couple of years.

Incumbent councillors Herman Crain, Eric Bear, Ernie Dreaver Jr. and Edmond Vandale were all re-elected.

The only newcomer to the Muskoday band council is Eldon R. Crain.
