Canada’s Mounted Police Foundation has given $4,000 to the Moosomin First Nation for a community justice project.

He adds the project also involves teachings of band elders and a study on the importance of tee-pee poles.

Titled “All Together Supporting Each Other” in the Cree language the initiative brings local band youth together with RCMP officers.

The band’s Burton Kahpeaysewat says the program addresses problems facing youth on reserve.
