More Known About Death Of Poundmaker Teen

RCMP have released more information about a body found on railway tracks in North Battleford on New Year’s Eve.

 

Police say 15-year-old Utesin Baptiste of the Poundmaker First Nation died after being struck by a train.

 

They say he was hit by an eastbound train at 10:46 p.m. on December 30th.

 

His body was discovered by the crew of a westbound train at about 1 a.m. on New Year’s Eve.

 

RCMP say there is still no indication of any foul play in Baptiste’s death.

 

They also say alcohol is not believed to be a factor.

 

Police are continuing their investigation into the matter.
