Charges could soon be laid after three women were stabbed on the Moosomin First Nation late last week.

Acting Battlefords RCMP Rural Detachment Commander Corporal Paul DeBruin is meeting with investigators today regarding the incident.

Three women in their twenties were stabbed and several others injured during a night of violence Thursday.

Victims were sent to hospital from 5:45 p.m. until about 2 a.m.

A total of five patients were sent to hospital in the Battlefords — one of them was transferred to a hospital in Saskatoon.

All have since been treated and released.

Police say none of them had life-threatening injuries.

According to WPD Ambulance Operations Manager Jason Toovey, the situation was so violent that RCMP refused to let ambulance personnel into the reserve.

Toovey says they waited at a command post outside the reserve, where victims were brought out to them.
