A new court date has been set for a 17-year-old youth accused of murdering three Montreal Lake band members.

The youth, whose name cannot be released, will next appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court on April 19th.

He was charged the day after gunfire broke out on the reserve and two men and a woman were discovered dead.

The resulting investigation drew RCMP examiners to three different locations on the First Nation.

The motive behind the bloodshed is still unclear.

Meanwhile, the accused now faces two more charges.

On top of two counts of first degree murder and one count of second degree murder, he now also faces two charges of pointing a firearm.
