Metis Nation – Saskatchewan officials are calling for the resignation of First Nations and Metis Relations Minister Maynard Sonntag.

They made the call in a letter delivered to Sonntag’s constituency office in Meadow Lake Friday afternoon.

MNS President Dwayne Roth says the provincial government’s involvement in the Metis election controversy has to stop.

The MNS is also demanding First Nations and Metis Relations department official, Donovan Young, hand in his resignation, as well.

Roth says the province can expect to see the MNS leadership launch legal action and organize acts of civil disobedience in the near future.
