Conciliation talks between the provincial government and the Metis Nation of Saskatchewan are scheduled to proceed this week.
Just last week, MNS president Dwayne Roth stated he thought negotiations between himself and the
province were at a standstill, after the government appointed an arbitrator who Roth did not agree with.
However, Donovan Young, the assistant deputy minister of First Nations and Metis Relations, says that impasse appears to have been resolved.
He says conciliation should begin within a couple of days.
Young also says the talks aren’t under any firm timeframe.
