MNS A Target At Metis Consultation Meetings

One of the panel members that’s holding public consultation meetings about Metis electoral reform says a lot of people have the wrong idea about why the meetings are being held.

Joe Daigneault says people are using the meetings to air any complaints that have about the Metis Nation of Saskatchewan and the people associated with it.

Daigneault says he and the rest of the panel have limited terms of reference, and are only interested in hearing people’s thoughts about last year’s Metis election.

Daigneault says this is the reason why panel members have had to abruptly cut off some people during meetings held already.

Daigneault and the other members of the panel have already hosted public meetings in La Ronge, Prince Albert, Saskatoon and Duck Lake.

They’ll be in Moose Jaw and Assiniboia later this week.
