MN-S Fine With No Metis On Enterprise Saskatchewan

Metis Nation – Saskatchewan President Robert Doucette says he is not upset that no Metis person was named to the board of Enterprise Saskatchewan.
Robert Doucette says there will be other ways to be involved.
The provincial government campaigned on forming a board to advise it on economic development issues.
There are two First Nations representatives on the recently-announced board, including Cameco official Gary Merasty — but no Metis.
Doucette says that’s OK.
He says there is still an opportunity to get Metis people involved in the provincial economy, even if no one sits on the board of Enterprise Saskatchewan.
Doucette also says he has spoken to the agency’s deputy minister about this, and has been assured the MN-S and Metis citizens will be consulted.
