Mistawasis Band Member Killed in Rollover

RCMP are investigating the cause of a fatal rollover near Prince Albert yesterday.

The crash happened about 17 kilometres west of Prince Albert by the tiny community of Crutwell.

Only one vehicle was involved — a half-ton pickup truck carrying three women.

One of those occupants was a 19-year-old woman from the Mistawasis First Nation who lost her life in the crash.

RCMP spokesperson Heather Russell says investigators are still trying to piece together what exactly happened, but suspect alcohol was involved.

Russell says the other two women in the accident are still in hospital — one in serious condition.

The name of the victim will likely be released in the next few days.
