Mistakenly Released Prisoner Now Back In Jail

A man charged with assaulting a corrections officer who was mistakenly released by a Regina court has been re-arrested.
Police picked up 26-year-old Curtis Russell Francis last night.
Saskatchewan Justice Minister Don Morgan says the situation is worrisome, particularly because it was two weeks before anyone realized Francis was not in jail.
Morgan says 12 prisoners have been mistakenly released in Saskatchewan since January 2006.
