Missing Paddlers Turn Up In Manitoba

Two canoeists who went missing in the Sandy Bay area have turned up safe and sound in Manitoba.

 

58-year-old Andrew Gilbert of Regina and 61-year-old David Weller of Winnipeg set out last Wednesday and were supposed to be picked up at a pre-arranged location on Monday — but they didn’t turn up.

 

Family members reported them missing yesterday, but the RCMP say the experienced paddlers have since got in touch with them.

 

The paddlers apparently lost their way, and are now in Manitoba.
