The country’s education ministers are in Toronto today to discuss Aboriginal education.

Ministers representing the provinces and territories plan to discuss progress and suggested next steps regarding the Aboriginal Education Action Plan.

Saskatchewan is coordinating the development of that strategy.

Deputy Premier and Education Minister Ken Krawetz and Advanced Education Minister Rob Norris are representing our province at the talks.

Krawetz is scheduled to lead a discussion about closing the gap between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal learners.
