Mineral Exploration Numbers Going Through The Roof

Mineral exploration in this province is showing no signs of slowing down.
Saskatchewan Industry and Resources spokesman Roy Schneider, says the government expects $272 million will be invested by junior exploration companies this year alone.
Schneider notes that is almost nine times the $31 million that was spent in 2003.
He says strength is being reported in all sectors, but uranium and diamonds were the workhorses in 2006.
Schneider says recent reductions in corporate taxes on mining companies might help explain the recent surge — and he is hinting more incentives could be unveiled in this month’s provincial budget.
