The Batoche National Historic Site is getting a $3.67-million funding boost from the federal government.
The money is part of $12.5 million Ottawa is committing to Saskatchewan national parks and historic sites.
The funds for Batoche will be used to renew the visitor reception centre and heritage presentation.
Meanwhile, $8.2 million has been set aside for roads in the townsite of Waskesiu at Prince Albert National Park.
Desnethe-Missinippi-Churchill River MP Rob Clarke, who was in Waskesiu for yesterday’s announcement, says visitors can see road work is badly needed.
Another $835,000 has been committed for improvements at Grasslands National Park.
